Join us next Wednesday to discuss proposed Livingston Wellness Center!

Are you curious about the proposed Community Wellness Center that will be on the ballot later this month? Please join us next week for a Community Conversation on Wednesday, February 21, at 12:00 p.m.

To help guide this discussion, we are hosting Livingston City Manager Grant Gager, 4 Ranges board representative and health professional Caroline Rehder, and invested community resident Laurie Bishop.

We will discuss what this project means to our community, how it improves community resilience and the considerations that were behind the project. We hope you walk away more informed about how the proposed Wellness Center can work for Livingston now, and in the future.

This project holds personal significance for me, having grown up near the proposed site and knowing Katie Bonnell in the 80s and 90s. Like Katie, who embodied determination, an infectious spirit, and vibrancy, I'm interested in how this initiative can carry her legacy forward and strive to offer inclusive wellness opportunities for all.

Register now!

Voting starts soon! Ballots will be mailed only, and automatically sent to registered voters on February 28th and due by March 19th. If you own taxable property in the City, make sure you are registered to vote and if you live outside the city limits, request a ballot! There are no in-person options.

At PCEC, we recognize that a thoughtfully designed Wellness Center has the potential to contribute to greater resilience, improving the health and wellbeing of our children, adults and seniors; increasing accessibility to community amenities; improving safe active transportation routes and crossings; attracting opportunities for brownfields development; providing a safe place in times of need and more.

This will be the second conversation we've held on the issue. If you missed the previous conversation, you can find the recording on our PCEC Youtube channel, and for frequently asked questions, such as what, where, and why the City is pursuing this and where funds will come from, look here on the City's website and check out the other resources below:

Share your questions and thoughts on this project's meaning for our community and its potential to enhance our resilience. Submit your questions by next Tuesday at 12:00 PM. The discussion will be recorded and shared after the event.
