Suce Creek made the news last year over rumors of plans by out-of-state investors for a posh vacation destination nestled in the otherwise rural section of the Paradise Valley. Nearby residents were livid, and for good reason. They were about to become neighbors with some 100 vacation cabins, a spa and restaurant, uses wildly out-of-character with the otherwise sparse landscape of single-family homes and ranches.
Within a year, residents took the formal steps to have their property zoned, successfully limiting the type of developments along the Suce Creek drainage.
