Introducing PCEC interns Anders & Victoria (And a trail clean up!)

With the summer in full swing, I'm excited to introduce this summer's Conservation Leadership Interns. Our young leaders always blow me away with their intelligence, thoughtfulness, love for their community & environment and their drive. Anders and Victoria are no different.

Already this summer these two young people have attended the Held v Montana trial, flown over Paradise Valley looking at wildlife migration routes, spent several Wednesdays managing the Zero Waste Station at the Farmers Market and are helping to plan a Youth Climate Summit.

Our Conservation Leadership program is possible because of your support, if you value this work and all our other programs please consider donating to PCEC through Give-A-Hoot this month!

Now these two young leaders have planned a trail clean up for this Sunday and need some volunteers to make it a success! But first let me tell you a little bit about them.

Anders Harrison has lived in Livingston his whole life and has a deep passion for the landscape and wilderness. He is homeschooled, and loves hiking, rafting, skiing, climbing and any other way to recreate outdoors. He has always been passionate about the environment, and is always looking for ways to help out in the community. He is excited about being able to do both of those this summer.

You can reach Anders at anders@pcecmt.org.

Victoria Gasparakis is a rising 15-year-old Junior at Park High, though she is graduating from high school a year early. She loves the earth intensely. She loves day trips up in the mountains as well as tending to her family’s farm. Vicki became a Conservation Leadership Intern in order to deepen her involvement in it. After graduating, she hopes to go to college for international relations and become involved in organizations devoted to the earth and its inhabitants.

You can reach Victoria at vicki@pcecmt.org.

The trail clean up, headed by our interns, will take place this Sunday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. We will meet at 7th Street and Highway 10 and work our way through the Highway 89 S Bike Path. Bring gloves and a bike if you would like them. Refreshments will be provided, and if you like to join us for pizza afterwards please RSVP to vicki@pcecmt.org. We hope to see you there!
