Thursday at 5: Tell the Planning Board you're concerned about glamping, gravel pits, more!

On Thursday, the Park County Planning Board will be holding a meeting to discuss the Park County Growth Policy.

This is our opportunity to express our concerns with unchecked growth and development. Planning Board members said that they have been receiving an increasing number of complaints about issues like glamping, gravel pits and other threats.

Join us on August 17, at 5 p.m. in the Community Room of the City-County Complex to share your concerns.

You can also attend via Zoom (click here for the link).

Last year, Park County Commissioners tabled the conflict mitigation zoning proposal, allowing these uses to continue without any local oversight.

Now, those uses are multiplying, whether it's glamping on the banks of the Yellowstone or the potential for a gravel pit in key pronghorn habitat just north of Emigrant.

Tell the Planning Board we need to prepare for a strong future, a future our kids can be proud of, a future that prioritizes all the things we love about Park County.
