Join Our Waste Warrior Team!

We're looking for passionate volunteers to join our Waste Warrior team at the Livingston Farmer's Market Zero Waste Station—and we'd love to have you!

As a Waste Warrior, you'll staff our Zero Waste Station, helping visitors properly sort their compost, recycling, and landfill waste. It's a hands-on, impactful way to contribute to local sustainability efforts and help our community reduce its environmental impact.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Staff the Zero Waste Station during market hours

  • Assist visitors in correctly sorting compost, recyclables, and landfill waste

  • Maintain a clean and organized station

  • Provide friendly education on waste reduction practices

When: Every Wednesday, 4:30–7:30 PM, June 3rd – September 16th

Perk: Each volunteer group receives one free meal ticket!

We are particularly seeking volunteers who are able to commit to multiple markets throughout the season, as consistency helps us run a smooth and effective waste station. If you volunteer at the Zero Waste Station four times this season, Happy Trash Can will provide a month of free curbside composting service to anyone located within Livingston city limits.

Group Opportunity: We're also inviting groups and organizations to get involved! If your club, team, community group or organization is interested in tabling alongside waste sorting duties, we'd love to connect. It's a great way to engage the community while supporting a great cause. Livingston Farmer’s Market prohibits any campaigning and promotion of political or religious views at the market.

Interested as an individual or a group? Email Taylor@pcecmt.org to claim your spot.

Together, we can make our Farmer's Market a zero-waste destination!
